Why the US Invaded Iran

The National Defense Strategy lays out a four-point plan for permanent US dominance: (1) Secure the entire Western Hemisphere as an exclusive American sphere of control (the “Trump Monroe Doctrine”), (2) force NATO and Asian allies to fight America’s enemies while buying American weapons, (3) strangle China economically by blockading the Strait of Malacca, and (4) supercharge the defense industrial base by converting civilian factories (like Ford and GM) to munitions production.
Why the US Will Lose the War
Trump fundamentally misunderstood Iran. He believed a decapitation strike — killing the Supreme Leader — would cause immediate surrender, based on the Venezuela model where Delta Force kidnapped Maduro and the regime collapsed. He ignored Iran’s culture, history, and topography.
Iran is a mountain fortress, not a flat desert. The US won Iraq in two weeks because Baghdad is flat desert — perfect for shock-and-awe air strikes. Iran is all mountainous, allowing underground missile bases and guerrilla warfare that makes conventional bombing ineffective.

How This Becomes World War III
Four great powers are playing a chess game with incompatible endgames:

Russia: Autocracy (king) pursuing the “Third Rome” strategy of uniting the Christian world and negating American sea power through Eurasian alliances, using vast geography, Orthodox religion, and the world’s best artillery as attack vectors.
Israel: Mixed democracy-theocracy (king) pursuing the “Greater Israel Project” — conquering the entire Middle East from the Nile to the Euphrates as promised in the Bible — using Mossad, the Jewish diaspora, and Christian Zionist political support as attack vectors.
Iran: Theocracy (king) pursuing leadership of the Muslim world by overthrowing US-aligned governments in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, using proxy armies (Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis), asymmetric drone/missile warfare, and mountain fortress geography as attack vectors.
The US is already seizing Russian shadow fleet tankers in the Caribbean and North Atlantic (a January 2026 raid captured two sanctioned vessels), which constitutes an act of war. Russia is already at conflict with America through Ukrainian drone strikes on its refineries, which Russia attributes to NATO.
Russia will enter the war on Iran’s side because: (1) Iran’s conquest would expose Russia’s entire southern flank, (2) Russia’s north-south trade corridor and China’s Belt and Road Initiative both run through Iran, and (3) Russia’s grand strategy frames this as a spiritual war against the “antichrist” American empire. Putin recently hosted Iran’s Prime Minister in Moscow and expressed admiration for Iran’s resolve.
Once Russia enters, China follows — providing financing, using the Belt and Road railway to resupply Tehran from the east, and placing Iran under Russia’s nuclear umbrella, which negates the American/Israeli option of tactical nuclear weapons. The US would then need to expand the war to topple the Russian government.
Eight New Predictions
Trump will get a third term. Two possible mechanisms: (1) His son Don Jr. runs for president with Trump as VP, then abdicates — a constitutional loophole that has never been tested; or (2) emergency war powers allow Trump to suspend the constitution and delay elections, as Zelensky did in Ukraine. Iran will be a forever war with a US national draft. The war benefits America by creating global energy dependence, so there is no incentive to end it. The world will move toward an AI surveillance state. Digital ID and digital currency will allow governments to monitor all online activity and financial transactions, using AI to predict and control behavior. Once Russia takes Odessa, Ukraine is blockaded from the sea and the war is effectively over. Russia and Ukraine together export grain that Africa and the Middle East depend on; controlling this gives Russia leverage over billions of people.
East Asia will break out into conflict. Three flash points: (1) Taiwan — Japan’s Prime Minister has declared Taiwan core to Japanese strategic interest because its unification with China would cut Japan off from Southeast Asian resources; (2) Strait of Malacca — America wants to blockade it, China needs it for survival; (3) North Korea — with the world distracted and US military assets (including THAAD systems) cannibalized for the Middle East, North Korea has a window to threaten Seoul (which is 20 minutes from North Korean artillery) and extort South Korea through nuclear blackmail.
The American empire will collapse within 5–10 years. Empires last roughly 200 years and always fall from the same causes: too much debt, too much corruption, too much inequality. What the Nature of Reality Has to Do With It
Plato’s Allegory of the Cave explains how the system controls people. Humanity is chained in a cave watching shadows on a wall, believing they are reality. The shadows are projected by a fire operated by unseen figures. People create entire religions, languages, and social systems around the shadows. Anyone who tries to free the others is killed.
The modern cave has layers: (1) The military-industrial complex chains people in place; (2) private bankers (Bank for International Settlements, Wall Street, City of London, Federal Reserve) control the fire and project the shadows by setting exchange rates and controlling money creation; (3) the global economy is the shadow play; (4) multilateral institutions (World Bank, UN, WTO) pretend to impartially manage it; (5) media, Hollywood, and the education system convince people the shadows are real and create the values, habits, and laws that stabilize the system.
Independent media threaten the system because they tell people the shadows are fake, causing ripple effects of questioning. This is why censorship, deplatforming, and ideological enforcement mechanisms (DEI, “woke politics”) exist — they are not about morality but about maintaining the stability of the illusion.
The system is fragile and requires universal cooperation. If enough people stop believing, the entire edifice collapses. This is why the system is becoming more authoritarian as younger generations grow skeptical.
Hermetic philosophy holds that reality is consciousness and energy, not material. We are all “fractals” of a single source. Individual choices to be good or bad directly affect the whole. The practical advice: focus not on preventing systemic collapse (which is inevitable and unstoppable) but on becoming a creative, kind individual who brings goodness to your immediate community.
What This Means for Ordinary People
Collapse will look like infrastructure failure — blackouts, water shortages, food supply disruption. The greatest danger will not be war itself but waves of refugees from Africa, the Middle East, and South America fleeing famine caused by fertilizer shortages (the world can only sustain ~2 billion people without fertilizer; the current population is 8 billion).
The solution is community. Those who thrive will be entrepreneurial leaders and visionaries who organize their neighbors, knock on doors, and build local resilience. When empires collapse, survival depends on becoming a family with those around you.
