The episode is a deep investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, presented by researcher Danny Sheehan, who argues that JFK was killed by a covert assassination team originally assembled to kill Fidel Castro, and that the conspiracy reached the highest levels of the U.S. intelligence and political establishment. The discussion connects the assassination to broader covert operations involving the CIA, the mafia, anti-Cuban exile groups, secret treasure, and even UFO-related programs.
The Assassination Team and Its Origins
The core of the conspiracy was a unit called the S force, a triangular fire team of anti-communist Cuban exiles recruited from mafia gunmen who had fled Cuba after Castro’s 1959 revolution.
These men were originally assembled under Operation 40, a covert program authorized by Richard Nixon in his role as chair of the 5412 committee (which oversaw covert operations) under Eisenhower.
The team was trained at the ranch of Clint Murchison Jr. in Huacal, Mexico, to execute a crossfire assassination plan against Castro, Raúl Castro, and Che Guevara.
The operation was funded through heroin smuggling profits run by Santos Trafficante, the mafia boss of Havana, with a portion of the profits also used to fund anti-Mao operations in China through a front company called Sea Supply Corporation, run by CIA employee Paul Helliwell.
Nixon, Howard Hughes, and the Mafia Connection
Nixon, confident he would win the 1960 presidential election after Nelson Rockefeller withdrew from the primary, contacted Howard Hughes to assemble the assassination team, insisting it be kept away from the White House.
Hughes sent his lawyer Bob Mayhew to meet with Johnny Roselli (representing Sam Giancana of Chicago) and eventually Santos Trafficante in Florida.
Trafficante agreed after receiving a green light from Sheffield Edwards, chief of security at the CIA under Allen Dulles.
The team was recruited from Trafficante’s anti-communist Cuban exile gunmen already working with the CIA out of paramilitary bases in Florida, Louisiana, and on No Name Key.
From Castro to JFK: Why the Target Changed
When John F. Kennedy won the 1960 election, the assassination team was not disbanded but repurposed.
Kennedy inherited the Bay of Pigs invasion plan but refused to provide air cover, leading to its failure in April 1961.
Kennedy apologized to Khrushchev and promised to cease operations against Cuba, but secretly continued them under Operation Mongoose, run out of JM Wave at the University of Miami.
After the Cuban Missile Crisis (October 1962), Kennedy came within minutes of nuclear war due to actions by General Curtis LeMay, who had moved forces without authorization and advocated for a nuclear first strike.
Kennedy was so traumatized that he began secret back-channel communications with Khrushchev through Norman Cousins, discussing the complete destruction of nuclear warheads in both countries, brokered originally by Pope John XXIII (who died in June 1963).
Kennedy also proposed a joint U.S.-Soviet space program and sought CIA briefings on UFOs to share with Khrushchev as a gesture of good faith.
The Decision to Kill Kennedy
Kennedy’s moves toward nuclear disarmament and détente with the Soviet Union were viewed as treason by the China lobby centered around Brown Brothers Harriman, the investment bank whose partners (including the Dulles brothers) had long-term economic interests in Asia.
Allen Dulles, forced out as CIA director by Kennedy, remained in Washington and continued to run operations from his Georgetown brownstone, maintaining close ties with James Jesus Angleton and other intelligence figures.
When Kennedy demanded a full CIA briefing on UFOs on June 5, 1963, Dulles and his associates saw this as confirmation that Kennedy would share sensitive information with the Soviets and proceed with disarmament.
The decision was made to reactivate the S force to assassinate Kennedy.
The Assassination in Dallas
The shooter who killed Kennedy was David Morales, a crack shot from the S force team, firing from the grassy knoll.
Rip Robertson, field operations commander of the S force, was photographed in Dealey Plaza, as was Ed Lansdale.
Lee Harvey Oswald was not a lone nut but a CIA/Office of Naval Intelligence asset who had been inserted into the operation as a patsy.
Oswald was supposed to fire a shot at the motorcade and miss, creating a pretext to blame Cuba and justify an invasion.
He fired and hit the curb, but was then preempted by the S force’s fatal shots.
He killed Officer Tippit while fleeing and was arrested, repeatedly claiming he was a “patsy.”
Oswald’s landlady Ruth Paine was connected to Allen Dulles’s mistress and had vacationed with Dulles on Naushon Island (owned by the Forbes family) in summer 1963. Paine’s sister worked for the CIA. Paine brought the Oswalds to Dallas and connected Lee with the job at the Texas School Book Depository, owned by D. Harold Byrd, an oilman connected to LTV Aerospace (which built early flying saucer prototypes) and to Curtis LeMay.
The Dallas mayor Earl Cabell (whose brother was the CIA’s number two in Dallas on the Bay of Pigs) rerouted the motorcade to pass the Depository.
The Cover-Up
The Warren Commission was a deliberate cover-up orchestrated by LBJ, who pressured Chief Justice Earl Warren to chair it by falsely claiming the Kennedys had created the Castro assassination team and that revealing this would provoke war with the Soviet Union.
Allen Dulles was placed on the commission and effectively ran it to ensure the S force connection was buried.
Jack Ruby, a mafia “made man,” killed Oswald on orders. Ruby was later evaluated by Dr. Louis Jolyon West, a psychiatrist linked to MK Ultra, after which Ruby suffered a psychotic break and his testimony became unreliable.
The Zapruder film was acquired and published by Life magazine under Charles Douglas Jackson, who ran U.S. psychological warfare programs, with key frames removed to obscure the front-shot evidence.
Watergate as a Legacy of the Assassination
The Watergate burglary was motivated by Nixon’s fear that Larry O’Brien, the new head of the Democratic National Committee, had been Howard Hughes’s chief lobbyist and knew about Nixon’s role in creating the S force.
Nixon ordered the bugging of O’Brien’s office through James McCord, who was Allen Dulles’s protégé.
This connects the Watergate scandal directly back to the JFK assassination conspiracy.
Secret Treasure and Covert Funding
At the end of World War II, General Yamashita’s forces buried 176 troves of gold, silver, platinum, and jewels (worth trillions) across the Philippines.
Ed Lansdale, then with Army G2 in Manila, tortured Yamashita’s driver and located 12 troves worth approximately $1.2 trillion (at $32/ounce).
He flew to MacArthur in Singapore; MacArthur sent Charles Willoughby to verify, and the gold was reported to Truman.
Truman, advised by Clark Clifford and Secretary of War Stimson, brought in Robert Lovett, Robert Anderson, and John J. McCloy—all senior partners at Brown Brothers Harriman—and created the secret Anderson Trust in Houston, Texas.
The gold was flown to the International Credit Bank in Geneva and used to fund covert anti-communist operations worldwide, forming a secret financial architecture that preceded and enabled CIA covert funding.
UFO Connections and the S4 Interview
Sheehan recounts the testimony of Oscar Wolf, a former Army clerk-typist assigned to a special Project Blue Book unit handling the 700 most credible UFO cases.
Wolf accompanied his commander (a fellow member of the fundamentalist Worldwide Church of God) to S4 at Area 51, where he observed several UFOs hovering in underground garages.
His commander conducted a telepathic interview with a live extraterrestrial being—a humanoid figure in a jumpsuit with a large head and eyes.
According to interview records shown to Wolf, the being said he was part of a group from various star systems monitoring the development of life on planets throughout the galaxy, and that they were tasked by what humans would call “God,” though the being’s conception was very different from the human one.
Remote Viewing, Scientology, and Mind Control
Sheehan was approached to become L. Ron Hubbard’s personal attorney for the Church of Scientology and was given access to their most sensitive files.
He discovered that Ingo Swann, a top remote viewer in the government’s program, was a Scientology “Clear” who had been spying for the Church against the Office of Naval Intelligence, filing detailed reports to the Church’s Guardian Office.
The files revealed that Pat Price, the program’s best remote viewer, could locate any target on Earth (including a Russian Boomer-class nuclear submarine) to the exact minute and second of longitude and latitude—and that a UFO was hovering over the submarine tracking it.
The files also described a program in southern Canada where Pat Price, fitted with a helmet and directed by Russell Targ, telepathically projected a message to the population of the northern Michigan peninsula, resulting in 85% of people filing their tax returns at a specific West Virginia post office box the following year—demonstrating mass mind control capability.
John Mack and the Worldview Collision
Sheehan served as attorney for John Mack, the Harvard psychiatry professor who investigated alien abduction cases.
Mack’s final manuscript, titled “When Worldviews Collide” (a reference to Velikovsky), argued that the UFO/ET phenomenon has the power to shatter the Western materialist worldview because it represents something that “should” exist only in the spirit world manifesting in the physical world—the cardinal sin of Western epistemology.
Mack and Sheehan were developing a program using holotropic breathing to help experiencers overcome their cellular fight-or-flight response to contact, preparing humanity for a potential shift in worldview.
Mack was killed by a drunk driver in London in 2004; Sheehan investigated and confirmed it was not an assassination.
The Knights of Malta and Power Structures
Sheehan identifies the Knights of Malta as a sovereign military order involved in the highest levels of international power, including figures like Henry Kissinger and George H.W. Bush on its executive council.
Former Nazis including Reinhard Gehlen (head of West German intelligence) and Otto Skorzeny (who ran the Nazi rat line using Knights of Malta passports) were members.
Sheehan believes elements of the Knights of Malta are connected to UFO-related programs, noting that the Magenta, Italy UFO crash of 1933 was reportedly recovered and held at the Vatican before being transferred to the U.S.
Current Disclosure Efforts
Sheehan is actively working to pass the 64-page Senate UFO disclosure bill, which would create a review board with subpoena authority over classified UFO programs.
The bill is expected to pass the Senate again around mid-July 2025 and move to the House, where Dan Crenshaw (a Navy SEAL and maverick) now heads the intelligence committee, replacing the obstructionist Mike Turner.
The National Archives has given the military and intelligence community until end of September 2025 to turn over UFO-related records, though Sheehan gives only a 51% chance of meaningful compliance.
Sheehan’s New Paradigm Institute is authorized to recommend board members, and he hopes to assemble a credible panel that Trump will accept, with the goal of making significant progress before the 2026 midterm elections.
